I have been so incredibly slack on the GIST posts! I haven’t had a post since May! I am thinking taht I will begin again~ and hopefully this second attempt will be more promising and continual~ ><

And in other news, the taupo trip was aweosme. I loved it. My first time being out of Auckland. Although I was just infored a couple of weeks ago that I have indeed been to the Coromandel when I was little but I guess I don’t really remember. So, guess if you don’t remember, it doesn’t really count?

Anyways. One more week left of the holidays! T_T Nooooo. It’s sad. This pas week has just mainly been spent at home in the beginning of the week and with the boyfriend and some friends and the like.

The next week isn’t much different other than that it will be the last week and have a few things that I want to get done before the end of the holidays that I wanted to do during this time.

The Edge Morning Madhouse April Fool’s Day Prank~ 2 April, 2009

The best April Fool’s Day prank I have heard and seen/listened to was this morning’s April Fool’s joke that was pulled by The Edge Morning Madhouse. That was really awesome. I probably would have fallen for it…. if I earned more than like $50,000 I think it was? Yeah. It actually felt like a dream….. could have been because it was kind of early in the morning….. but yeah. Awesome stuff ^_^
So. Pretty much, a summary of it is that they played an ad that said that if you earned more than (I think) $50,000 then you’d be entitled to $5,000 directly credited to your bank account by the Inland Revenue. There was a 0800 line set up and the calls that came in was great~~

Calls were also made to Inland Revenue!! But yeah, if you heard it this morning, then you would know what I’m talking about and know how pretty great it was~

Laziness and Whatnot Kicking In…. 14 December, 2008

is the reason behind my uh, lack of updates and the general feeling of un-interestingness.. even though there has been some moments in which I said I would blog… but, yeah, I lost it! >.<

It is finally happening to me. I’ve read in a few of the blogs that I follow this happening to them. And now it’s happening to me~

There has been some good news.. overdraft is down like SIGNIFICANTLY. To -$25… now, just have to NOT spend anything till payday this coming Friday 19th! ^_^

And the China/HK trip is getting closer and closer!!! Two weeks exactly!! I can’t wait. Will be starting to pack next week, really (week of 23rd)! Yaay! ^.^

Something sort of random that I did today, created a blend from an episode of Gossip Girl for a theme header competition at Transcending Bliss Forum.

And, speaking Gossip Girl, I am one episode away from having watched every episode of Gossip Girl! Love that show<3 Love Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass! Blair is GORGEOUS and PRETTY and Chuck is, just, Chuck. Not bad looking as the (first) season progresses~ :]

So, really what is left of this month is:
~ a week of work (this week)
~ Boxing Day Sales (YUS! Shopping timee!!)
~ and finally, CHINA/HK!!

This past month or the last time since I have updated hasn’t been totally exciting… just been me procrastinating tidying room (since moving back) and when I have been tidying, chucking and sorting stuff etc etc.. and yeah…. exciting stuff right there.

Birthday, External Hard Drive and Other Stuff 18 September, 2008

So. I have managed to once again damage (most definitely beyond repair) my second external hard drive!

And what have I learned… don’t put it near the edge of the bed or on top of tvs or anywhere where it may fall off and onto the ground! =_=

I never learn, do I!? T_T

I am not as concerned and distraught as the first time because I was smart and zipped all my photos that I had on the external hard drive and saved it onto my computer’s hard drive… and I’m not really too concerned what like documents I have lost becuase all that matters is my photos… that are like irreplaceable and I will never be able to like take again… etc. But I do wonder what I have lost other than nearly 5 GB of music and about like a season or two of tv programmes that I have spent endless amounts of time dedicated to their sometimes slow download times.. but oh well. *sigh*  I guess this gives me like a reason to tidy up my music collection… been meaning to do that~

I’m also not very concerned by what methods (i.e. money) that I am going to be getting another one… first one I paid for (with my OD – overdraft.. ) and the second one my mum paid for…  I have an inkling that she probably won’t be paying for this third one… maybe half….? But yeahh… not quite sure how I am going to go about this…. hmmm.

Soo. Onto other stuff. I am sick. Third or fourth day into it. It began with an awful itchy and sore throat and then escalated into a sniffling and.. I won’t go into the details but yes, a sniffling nose and dreadful and quite painful cough and now just sniffling nose and occasional coughing…  was coughing like there was no tomorrow yesterday! Jeez!! T_T And it was my birthday as well! T_T

And yes, yesterday was my actual birthday and I actually went and hung out with friends from my Chinese class despite the fact that I was sick and probably shouldn’t have been out… but hey, colds are the result from being inside too much…. as I read. Somewhere.. but yeah.. I kind somewhat have been inside the past few days… but yeah, that’s another story~

On my actual birthday I had lunch with Nikki and Robin at Momo tea ^^ it was nice… but didn’t finish it.. =\ Good value for $10 though! Then we went and got sticker photos~! (Soo typically asian, haha – well then again, we are studying chinese and like 2/3 of us are asian haha, soo it’s all good ) After that we walked around trying to find a karaoke place coz the place that we were going to go to wasn’t open.. found another near downtown and it was pretty good ~ $30 for 1 hour..

It was a great day! Despite again that I was sick and coughing like craaazy! That wasn’t fun. The karaoke place was pretty awesome too.. there was like disco lights haha.. The place is pretty decent as well! Pretty recent song choices… I sung a few songs that I usually sing like A Whole New World (awesome song! Pretty much know all the lyrics~ haha xD) and some other stuff… sung Angel by Shaggy (I surprised myself by actually by being able to sing it hahaha) and The Great Escape. Another really awesome song! I like it. Yeah it was a good day ^^

Oh. Damn… this compiling and re-creating of my music library again… urgh! >_< I haaate it! I think I need some help haha.. I’m going to enlist help in getting my friends to send me music via MSN hahaha. Oh, the offer is extended here too… if you feel like helping the cause of making Maggie’s iTunes fat and healthy again… you know where to find me! All donations greatly appreciated! ^_^

I Gave In! 13 September, 2008

I gave in and bought my camera… and now am over that new feeling of a new purchase… T_T

And now also afraid to look at my bank balance haha.. Good I got a, I hope long supply of alcohol haha. Premade OJ and Vodka cask…. $19.99!! ^^ LOL xD

Soo yeah tonight is my birthday celebration thing which I am really looking forward to! Seeing some people that I haven’t seen in aaages!! Like some for like over two years! >< I’m excited ~

I think I am also overdue for a photo upload… argh, I can’t even remember lol.

Three people wished me happy birthday haha. Those are people that I don’t talk to often though… although apart from one, when I saw her, SC, lol… she was like, “oh, hi, happy birthday!” haha… was amusing~ I actually just saw her like two days ago.. I was going to say yesterday but that’s not right….. although it is somewhat coz I went to see her at like midnight! LOL. ><

But yes… celebrations tonight…. ^_^ I can’t wait.

Hope everybody has a great night and I need to schedule in a visit to Hamilton…. haven’t seen some of those people in like ages! Like, last semester… yeah… probably… last visit was in like first semester for my friend’s 21st.. hmmm… looong time ago! ><

Finally Getting Paid! 9 September, 2008

I am finally getting paid! I worked it out and am roughly going to be getting paid $425! OMG! :O It’s…. great! And my Overdraft is going to go down to about $400!!! It’s going to be great… now just the matter of not spending it on everything that my little heart desires! *sigh*

Going to try though! Coz hopefully at the end of the year, my family and I will be going to Hong Kong and China! I can’t wait even MORE for the end of this year! Although… I have to save up like around $1000 for the airfare….. =_= oh well. It will be like soo worth it! And my mum is going to pay for our spending money~ Here’s hoping that I will be able to save up that amount! Something else I also wouldn’t mind getting (and would prove that I am able to save) is a new pink digital camera… like a Sony or Fuji one… a slim one… ^^

But yeah… here’s hoping I am able to save up around $1000….

So, my weekend was good… lots of shopping! Went shopping again with my sister yesterday and also picked up a parcel~ spotted a real nice pair of shoes that I wanted and that I may wear out this coming Saturday for my birthday celebration thing…. I am like pretty excited also for my birthday celebration thing.. There’s going to be people coming in that I haven’t seen for aaages! So, yeah I’m quite looking forward to that.

Other than the birthday celebration thing that’s coming up, nothing else much is planned for this week… or the next for that matter other than work and maybe hopefully going out and spending time with friends… especially on my birthday! ^.^

Soo yes a pretty good day and hopefully continues to be a good week…. hope everything is going great in everyone’s worlds

Holidays, Birthday Countdown & the Word ‘Risk’ 6 September, 2008

Holdiays are here! Again… finally! >_< Yusss! Doing nothinggg!! I’m happy. Been a pretty busy and full on week!

Was at times stressed and not feeling the greatest~ must have been those before-holidays exam and assignment pressure and stress!

I’m feeling better now. It might have also been other stuff that have been bugging me and remaining unsolved. But yeah, as I say again, feeling really better and happy about holidays… although there is one more thing I need to get done before I can like totally let loose and do nothing, lol.

Day 1 of holidays was awesome.. slept in and not feeling guilty in that I had to do something although I could have like made money by helping out with my mum’s garage sale in which she was selling like old stuff.. but oh well. My family went out to yum char lunch, it was great. Really yum! ^.^ Then my sister, mum and I went to Dressmart and that was awesome. I had the intent of finding and buying a dress for my birthday celebration thing next Saturday… a week from now! >.< Yayy..

And yeah, I found one and it is aweseome! I’m too lazy to take a pic of it, maybe upload a picture from next week.. but yeah it’s awesome and nice!! I love it! Oooh and it red! Finally a dress that’s not like black! Lol.. I don’t own much dresses but the majority of dresses that I do own are like predominately black… T_T I don’t exactly need to look slimmer than I already do….. Can’t wait till my birthday celebration thing~!

E l e v e n d a y s till my birthday!! My actual day of birth~ ^^ I’m planning to have lunch and/or dinner with some friends on that and do some stuff since I don’t have uni~ =] Maybe like purikuri/sticker photos.. hmm… hopefully… I don’t really like do nothing but yeah, we’ll see~

I was on the site where I get some of my quotes from (and where today’s quote is from) and was looking and somewhat quite intrigued, I guess by the word “risk”.. I don’t know why but like to me it somehow seemed like a funnily-spelt word.. hmm.. I dunno, but yeah just thought I’d share my random thought..

Ooh and got another external hard drive~ (lol.) And, well I like the other better.. this one is black and well… it does the job but yeah… liked the colour of the old (damaged) one, I guess. I guess silver is a nice colour.. I dunno, another random thought.

Am hoping to have quite a few plans these holidays, again… thinking of a poker night.. lol. My friend like got me into the game and I am quite interested in it now.. I think I only like playing it with like um, real people, lol. There’s a game of it on Facebook and hmm… it’s somewhat now confusing.. =\ I dunno but yeah.. poker night..?

I am also going to do a little study each day too….. hopefully. I aim to but, dunno if it’d actually happen. And, oooh, had my Chinese II written exam and am quite confidant in that I passed more than one section.. >_< But, now thinking about it…. the confidance is waning.. Hm.

But yes, today has been a great day.. fufilled my desire and want to buy a dress and also bought a pair of Jeans… $50! And well, kind of also the great thing is that my mum paid for it!

I am hoping next year to get my finances sorted and rely on her less even though I think I guess it has subsidied but still….. my sister pays for all of her clothes that she buys and like I think almost everything other than groceries. Oh well.

DVD Purchase! ^_^ 15 July, 2008

$10 DVD!! ^_^

JB Hifi is so awesome! I love it. The dvd’s there are like soo cheap!! Like $15 for The Notebook and some other movies.. that I don’t remember! Awesomeness!

Well.. was going to update tomorrow along with my LJ but… I bought something so may as well update while I’m at it..

Saturday night was spent at a friend’s just lightly drinking, catching up and me bitching. Heh.. It was good. We watched The Eye and Hairspray!

I loved The Eye. The Eye starring Jessica Alba was totally awesome! I’m not really a fan of like horror/thrillers/whatever they are but I really liked it! I was interested in seeing the English remake coz my friend has the Cantonese one which probably is the one that is like remaked from. Honestly, I’m like just mostly curious to watch thrillers and horrors and the like. Like the Saw umm… quartlies? I dunno.. :\ lol.. there’s like tonnes of them! Okay, maybe not tonnes but quite a few.. 

This week has gone by like really fast! It’s like already nearly Wednesday!! T_T Going back to city tomorrow night. Have like plans the next few days:

Thursday: Chinese class thing

Friday: Waitak reunion thing.

Saturday: Beth’s sisters going-away party

Sunday: Thinking of seeing my friend in South Auckland.. haven’t seen her in aages, catchup required!

During these holidays have just been hanging out with friends and catching up with them… some that I haven’t like seen and hung out with in like aaages!!! And just like got my Telecom (NZ phone provider) charged and turned it on to see if I received any messages, and I got one from my high school friend who got married~! Awww…

Real Life has definitely started and I think my mum once said that once like after high school, you’ll really like see who you true and real friends are coz like after high school you go from seeing them like everyday to like once in every couple of months.. I haven’t seen or talked to the friend that got married since like… well.. she got married! Which was like in April! And it’s like July, now! That’s…. three months! Okay… that’s not long but… wow… still… changes, heh.. but good changes! Still keeping in touch ^_^

Straight from my….. 7 July, 2008

[Friends Only] LJ~! That is on the rare occasion t hat I remember to update it with a public entry!

Met up and went out with a few people from my Chinese class the other night…. Saturday night I believe and it was the best night out ever! ^_^

I…. got extremely wasted! >_< Not really…. but I definitely did drink more alcohol that I normally would…. I had four lemon, lime and vodkas and then when we went to the karaoke place on Queen Street, next to the Korean bank, had probably about 3-4-5 even? shots of soju! >< And somehow I ended up getting money out to pay for the karaoke….?!

I probably maybe should’ve updated this like yesterday when I was like more like I dunno remembering lol… I don’t know. I’m not in a very blogging sort of mood atm.

Oh and I think… I definitely had a hangover the next day! I wasn’t really feeling that well aaand yeah.. I probably wouldn’t have gotten out of bed if I didn’t have to meet up with my friend, A but it was all good! The catch up was great. She is sooo amusing!!! I like forget how amusing my old friends from primary are! And also told me a few home truths… I hate it when what they say is true but you just don’t want to believe it and yeah…. it’s been a benefit of a doubt thing and yeah… just didn’t want to believe it.

Oh yes. I didn’t have much recollection the next day after I was like gone…… I was quite surprised that I made it to bed… in my pjs too and yeah.. haha… it was fun. We went to Barzuka and originally it was just me, Sabrina and Lee.. then txted a few other people and then Ryan and Alex and his (girl)friend turned up later.

I overspent that night… it’s not much… like in total I spent $60 on alcohol and karaoke and a few random stuff… like icecream and umm.. McDonald’s chips lol.

Gotta haircut! ^^ It’s greeeat! I LOVE IT! It’s like the best haircut I’ve ever had… coming under closely tothe haircut I got back in China when I last went.

Koreans are awesome hairdressers!! And in general, Asians too! I reckon Japanese and Koreans are the best. But, atm I am thinking with this experience, Koreans ftw! Oooh, I got it cut at the place called ID in like midcity… haha I was like descibing and going on about my haircut and how great it was etc to my friend the other night and like I was like SOOO bad at describing where it was and I had like forgotten the name of the place… lol.

I paid $35 for the haircut. it’s a good price to pay, I think.. it was the price of the haircut I got from this place on Queen Street next to $3 Japan. They were I think Japanese and yeah, it was great, too! Don’t think I have photos of my last haircut… it was in February, I think… end of February and I remember this because it was my friend’s friends birthday drinks that night and it was also the night that I would later get in trouble from my friend’s ex-girlfriend’s father for….. it wasn’t good..

But yes…. that day I spent A LOT of money! >_< I also didn’t get up till like 1 pm or 2 pm… I think… lol! =P

And because I’m so lazy this is cross-posted from my LJ with a few tweaks and additions. Soo lazy

Sooo…. yeah, lazy days ahead in the city coz I am overdrawn! I am really keen to make some more plans….

and that is about it.. T_T Yeah, I need more plans… that doesn’t involve much money. Oooh, getting paid Wednesday! But… I think there is a bill that needs to be paid >_<

I need a job, damnit!! The one that I got… I don’t think is like “for me”. Me and “approaching people” just don’t go well in a sentence apart from this one. Hah.

Return of the Daily Updates… 1 July, 2008

I have no life… or well I do…. in the daaay but not like usually at night… hmmm yeah.

Anyways. I went out to an impromptu dinner and momo tea with my friend’s friends. It was pretty great. I like them It was my friend’s high school friends. I kind of miss my high school friends… or actually I miss my friends in general.. but yeah these mid-semester holidays have been pretty awesome… plans every now and then, here and there. ^_^ It’s great!

I think I will keep to the bebo-looking till we’ve met for the second time…. they liked me and should do it again lol yay ^^

These holidays have been pretty great and social… hopefully it will continue like this… may require me to stay in the city… hmmm…. umm… or else I will just drive in lol.

We shall see.

I think that’s all! And I have some stuff that I need to get done tomorrow and soo yus.

That dinner was really good. Daikoku on Victoria St!

Oh and I love finding awesome new blogs to read! Last night I like completed a round of catching up on my bloglist and from there, I found some awesomely cute and awesome new blogs ^^
